Short Stack is a pint-sized but peppy independent book publisher. We were founded in December 2007, brilliantly timed to warrant a Short Stack Christmas party (and having the author of the forthcoming How to Handle Christmas on hand made it a cracker... if you'll pardon the pun). 2008 sees the launch of our fantastic new series: The How to Handles. They're a series of books destined to grace the bookshelves of enquiring minds in search of elusive insider information.
At 120 pages they're long enough to be juicily packed with eye popping insights and yet short enough to read cover to cover in a handful of tube journeys. The first title (the deliciously indiscreet How to Handle Your Recruitment Consultant) hit the shelves on 7th February 2008, with non nonsense wisdom of Winkie Spiers in How to Handle Living With Your Dog launching on 19th January 2009.
We may be small but we're spunky and it's thanks to both our size and determination that we move pretty fast (hence a two month turnaround on our first book) a fact of which we are inordinately proud. Anyway, rather than chuntering on endlessly with mission statements and our plans for world domination, we thought we'd bring you a handful of (far more interesting) snap shots of one or two Short Stack team members (courtesy of WeeWorld).
